Poly Rouse has served Hermitage Hills Baptist Church since August of 2000. He serves as the Senior Pastor and coordinates all church ministries to ensure an effective, unified strategy for communicating the Gospel. Since becoming Senior Pastor for Hermitage Hills, Sunday worship attendance has grown from 850 to more than 1,400 in 7 year’s time.
Previously, Pastor Rouse served the First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale as Associate Pastor for Ministry Coordination; Dauphin Way Baptist Church as Ministry Coordinator and Minister to Students; Associate Pastor and Staff Coordinator at First Baptist Church of Merritt Island, Florida. While at Merritt Island, Rouse lead Merritt Island’s Student Ministry as it grew from 60 to 400, in addition he was instrumental in Merritt Island’s 55 percent increase in Bible Study attendance across the age groups.
Pastor Rouse served as the Assistant Pastor/Student Minister. During his ministry the Student ministry saw over 550 students in Sunday morning Bible study and took over 600 students and adult counselors to summer camp each year.
Pastor Rouse has received a Masters Degree in Religious Education and Doctorate of Educational Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
He and his wife, Julie, have three sons: Dustin, Drew, and Daniel.
