WHAT IS MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers and is an international organization that exists to encourage, equip, and develop women to become the best moms they can be! Women who are pregnant or have young children (birth through kindergarten) are invited to join MOPS.

MOPS provides an opportunity to meet other moms and take the journey of motherhood together. It is a group to share our experiences, learn from one another, and support each other. MOPS meetings are a wonderful place to build friendships and have fun with other moms.

We offer three different MOPS International groups to our community! First, a morning group; second, we are excited to pioneer the first MOPS @ Night group in this area for those that cannot make the traditional morning meeting. Our third group is MOMSnext which is fairly new to MOPS International and is for mothers of school-aged children.

At each of our meetings, moms will enjoy a chance to socialize with other moms over brunch and a hot cup of coffee or light dinner; depending on which group they attend. We have a short time for announcements, followed by a speaker or a creative activity, and small group discussion allowing you to get to know other moms better.

Childcare during all meetings is provided through the MOPPETS program. We provide a fun, nurturing environment for your kids to play and learn while you take a well-deserved break!

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

MOPS International exists to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

There is a fee of $40.00 for the year (September – May).

Your membership fee pays for your individual International MOPS membership ($23.95), local MOPS meetings and activities including childcare during meetings, arts and crafts supplies, speaker fees, paper goods, MOPPETS supplies (books, arts and crafts supplies, snacks, etc.), monthly newsletter, and group publicity. Please feel free to visit the group before making your decision to join, at no charge. Visitors are always welcome! New members are welcome anytime throughout the MOPS year.

MOPS Mornings meets the 2nd & 4th Friday from 9:30am – 12:00pm
MOPS @ Night meets the 2nd & 4th Thursday from 6:00pm – 8:00pm
MOMSnext meets the 2nd & 4th Thursday from 6:00pm – 8:00pm

We meet at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church, 3475 Lebanon Pike, Hermitage, TN 37076, from September to May.
