Thank you for taking the time today to check out our web site. I know you'll find a lot of information about our fellowship and how we assist people to Connect to God and Grow in Spiritual Maturity and Serve the Body of Christ.
Our church is known to be a Multi-Site – one church multiple locations, Multi-Cultural – for every age and nationality, and Multi-Faceted – many different methods and ways of leading people to experience Life Change through Jesus Christ. These are the three distinctives that make Hermitage Hills a very special place. It is such a joy to come along side hundreds of believers who are allowing Christ to change their lives. We don't claim to be perfect, but we do claim to be changing as God's Word come active and alive within us.
Messages for November will be ...
November 2 - It Only Takes a Cup .... "And whoever gives just a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple—I assure you: He will never lose his reward!” - Matthew 10:42. A cup, such a small item but Jesus uses it to teach a great truth. Probably the easiest resource for any of us to get our hands on is water. In fact, in resent years we've almost idolized water with it's bottled effect bringing with it clout or prestige. But the truth is that it's just water. Water that every person needs to stay alive. That's the point ... are we giving the living water to those in need? It only takes a cup ... how about you?
November 9 - It Only Takes a Fish ... "Then He commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed them. He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples ⌊gave them⌋ to the crowds. 20 Everyone ate and was filled. Then they picked up 12 baskets full of leftover pieces! 21 Now those who ate were about 5,000 men, besides women and children." -- Matthew 14:19-21. It's a great true story of our Savior's love for people ... of how He takes little and makes it much ... how He teaches great truth with bread and fish. How often do people settle their faith in a place that God never intended for us to remain. I don't have much to offer. I can't do that. I am unworthy. I .. I .. I. Do you have just a few fish and loaves of bread, then you have enough to participate in the greatest calling given to mankind ... Go and Make Disciples.
November 16 - It Only Takes a Shirt ... “The one who has two shirts must share with someone who has none, and the one who has food must do the same.” Luke 3:11 ... take a moment and grasp this simple sentence ... do you have two shirts? Ouch. I not only have two shirts but I probably have 40! Who am I as I considered this truth. Do I have enough to survive? Do have have a place to sleep ... food to eat ... clothes to wear ... family to love ... what more could I want or need? That's a haughty question. Have we so lost complete understanding of what it means to live. Is it about what I can acquire, store up, and save for myself? Do you have two shirts ... then give one away this year by Praying ... Giving and Going on Missions.
November 23 - It Only Takes Love ... "“I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” -- John 13:34-35 ... it's not a suggestion ... it's not a good idea ... it's not a recommendation ... not it's a command. One that is loved and obey by true followers of Christ. Believers do not find this offensive .. no quite the opposite .. we find this invigorating. This kind of calling is exactly what we have been born-again for ... our hearts have been transformed ... our minds have been renewed and we love to show in multiple different ways the love that has change our lives. That's why we PRAY ... GIVE ... AND GO!
