From Jim Johnston -Campus Pastor "Look, I am about to do something new, even now it is coming. Do you not see it?" Isaiah 43:19
Something new is coming to our church. We're adding a new hour of Bible study. We're adding a new worship service. It's the first step toward adding a brand new church campus to the Hermitage Hills family.
It's called HHBC @ Mount Juliet and it debuts Sunday Sept. 7, 2008 on our Hermitage campus.

Questions
Here are some FAQs (frequently asked questions) about the new campus we are planting?
If you're a Mount Juliet campus, why are you meeting on our Hermitage campus?
It's pretty simple. It's because we don't have a place to meet in Mount Juliet.
We are praying for God to lift up a temporary location so this group of believers might move to a new location by April 12, 2009 (Easter). We are also praying that God would show us where He would have us locate permanently and that God would provide the resources for us to purchase land and build a church building on it.
Why are we doing this?
Again, it's pretty simple.
A decade ago, less than 7,000 people lived in Mount Juliet. This year's census revealed that Mount Juliet is a city of now more than 25,000, with only two out of every 10 people in the city proclaiming a faith in Jesus Christ. The city of Mount Juliet needs a church body who is willing do what it takes to lead those unchurched people to faith in Christ. We believe God has called us to do it.
How are we going to reach these unchurched people? By serving the city of Mount Juliet in concrete ways, with community Bible studies, with recreation ministries, and with any other tactic God lays on our heart to minister to the unchurched. We're going to show God's love to Mount Juliet and see what He does with it.
What will the worship service look like?
It's going to be band-driven, led by our new campus worship leader, John Holmes. It's going to be casual. It's going to be unpredictable. It's going to be interactive. We're going to get on our knees before God and pray in ways we're never prayed before. It's going to be OVER THE TOP FRIENDLY and WELCOMING to the unchurched people who visit us. Our senior pastor, Poly Rouse, is going to teach at this service most of the time. Every once in a while, our new campus pastor, Jim Johnston is going to teach as well. By the way, Jim and his wife Tammy are going to teach a new adult Bible study class at 9:15, just for people with tough questions about Christianity, the Bible and how to survive in a tough world.
What do I do to get involved?
Call campus pastor Jim at 218-7781 or email him jjohnston@hhbconline.com to let him know you want to be involved. We need people to help us with hospitality, publicity, Bible study and worship. Everything from baking cookies to ushering to setting up and tearing down chairs, tables and equipment in the Family Life Center. We have a place for you to serve.
